TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Please take a few minutes to review these Terms and Conditions. Your purchase of products from us constitutes your agreement to follow these Terms and Conditions and to be bound by them. THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS MAY CHANGE.

Piedmont Craftsmen reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. For this reason, we encourage you to review these Terms and Conditions whenever you purchase products from us or use our Web Site.

 

PAYMENT
Piedmont Craftsmen accepts Visa, Master Card, Discover and American Express as forms of payments.  The prices displayed on our Web Site are quoted in U.S. Dollars and are valid and effective only in the U.S.

 

SHIPPING AND PROCESSING FEES
Our shipping and processing charges are intended to compensate our company for the cost of processing your order, handling and packing the products you purchase and delivering them to you. We encourage you to also review detailed information about our shipping and processing fees below.

 

REFUND POLICY
All sales/transactions are final, unless product is defective or arrives broken. If the defective item is limited production, the item must be returned within 10 days for an exchange.  If the defective item is one-of-a-kind, it must be returned within 10 days and a refund will be issued within 30 days of the date of purchase. When returning an item, it must be in the original packing materials and box to insure safe return and shipped UPS. Contact Piedmont Craftsmen for a return authorization.  Refunds do not include shipping or insurance cost.

 

PRICES + SALES TAX
Sales tax on the merchandise total is charged for items shipped within North Carolina. The local sales tax for delivery destination is charged. Online purchases outside of NC are not taxed and therefore the purchaser is liable for reporting sales tax at their state rate. MEMBERSHIP DISCOUNTS
Members of Piedmont Craftsmen receive a 5% discount on all credit card orders.  Membership is verified by the sales staff and the discount is calculated prior to charges being applied to your credit card.  To purchase your membership call us at 1.336.725.1516 or visit our membership page.

 

BACK ORDERS
In some cases, we may need to postpone shipping if a product is not immediately available. We will ship back ordered items as soon as they are back in stock. In the event of a delay, we will notify you by email.

 

SHIPPING TERMS

SHIPPING AND PROCESSING CHARGES PER ADDRESS
Our shipping and processing charges are intended to compensate our company for processing your order, handling and packing the products you purchase, delivering them to you, related overhead and other items.

Most purchases are shipped to arrive in your home within 7-10 business days of order receipt; in the event of a delay we will notify you by email. Items ordered together may not arrive in the same box.

 

TOTALING YOUR ORDER
Merchandise total + delivery and processing charges per address (processed during checkout) + $15.00 per address for rush delivery (if applicable) + insurance + sales tax per delivery address (see “prices and sales tax” below) = total.

 

DELIVERY AND PROCESSING CHARGES
All products are shipped from Winston-Salem, NC via UPS and calculated in the online checkout.  For items that require special packaging due to their fragile nature, an estimate of shipping and handling charges will be confirmed by email prior to the artwork being shipped.

 

RUSH DELIVERY AND PROCESSING
For an additional charge of $15.00 per address we can expedite delivery and processing for many items. Orders placed by 1:00 p.m. EST Monday-Wednesday arrive in two business days; orders placed Thursday-Friday arrive on Tuesday. We’re sorry, this service is not available for one-of-a-kind items, out of stock items, or items shipped outside of the 48 contiguous states.

 

DAMAGE DURING SHIPPING
If an item arrives damaged through miss handling of the carrier, please notify Piedmont Craftsmen as soon as possible.  Keep all contents from the shipping together, including packing materials, and photograph the damage item if possible.  We will handle the insurance claim with the shipping provider.

 

ORDERS OUTSIDE THE CONTIGUOUS 48 STATES
For orders outside the 48 contiguous states (Alaska, Hawaii and US territories) please call 1.336.725.1516 or send us an email to sales@piedmontcraftsmen.org.  No orders will be shipped outside the US.

 

PRODUCT DISCLAIMER

HANDCRAFTED ARTWORK
The artwork offered on this website is handcrafted by Piedmont Craftsmen’s Exhibiting Members.  Our Exhibiting Members live and produce their artwork in the United States.  All items are handcrafted and therefore may contain variations or imperfections.

 

ONE-OF-KIND ARTWORKS
Many of the items on our website are one-of-kind.  This information will be disclosed in the item’s description.  One-of-kind items are sold on a first come, first served basis.  Many of these items require specialized shipping containers to be built and extra shipping time.  You will be informed via email of additional costs related to one-of-a-kind items prior to the finalization of the sale.

Piedmont Craftsmen is committed to respecting your privacy and recognizing your need for appropriate protection and management of personal information you share with us (the phrase “personal information” means any information by which you can be identified). The purpose of this privacy policy is to inform you of the personal information we may collect, how we may use such information and the choices you have regarding our use of, and your ability to review and correct, the information. This policy applies only to customers in the United States.

As part of our commitment to your privacy, Piedmont Craftsmen, supports and adheres to the guidelines and practices adopted by the Direct Marketing Association’s “Privacy Promise to American Consumers.” We have agreed to (1) provide customers with notice of their ability to opt out of information rental, sale or exchange with other marketers; (2) honor customers’ requests not to share their information with other marketers; and (3) honor customers’ requests not to receive mail, telephone or other solicitations from Piedmont Craftsmen.

 

COLLECTING INFORMATION ABOUT YOU
There may be times (such as when you purchase or order a product or subscribe to a service) when we ask you to provide certain information about yourself, such as your name, shipping/billing address, telephone number, email address, credit card information, birth date, gender, occupation, etc. We may also maintain a record of your product purchases.

Whether or not to provide such information is completely your own choice. But if you choose not to provide the information we request, you may be unable to purchase products, or access certain services on our web site. In addition, we may need to contact you via phone, email or mail to address questions or issues specific to your order, entry, etc., even if you have opted to not receive communications from us.

In general, you can visit many of our web pages without telling us who you are or revealing any personal information about yourself.  We track the Internet domain address from which people visit us and analyze this data for trends and statistics, but individual users will remain anonymous, unless you voluntarily tell us who you are.

 

USING INFORMATION ABOUT YOU
We use the personal information you provide for internal purposes, such as confirming and tracking your order, subscription or registration, analyzing trends and statistics, informing you of our new products, services and offers, and providing you with information from and about Piedmont Craftsmen.

 

We may contract with companies or persons to provide certain services including credit card processing, shipping, data management, promotional services, etc. We call them our Service Providers. We provide our Service Providers with the information needed for them to perform these services. We also ask our Service Providers to confirm that their privacy practices are consistent with ours.

 

Currently we do not share or cross reference your information with any other persons or entities other than those listed above. We do reserve the right however, to change or update our privacy policy in the future.

Although unlikely, in certain instances we may disclose your personal information when we have reason to believe that it is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against persons or entities that may be causing injury to you, to Piedmont Craftsmen, our artists or to others. We may also disclose your personal information when we believe the law requires it.

 

EDITING, UPDATING, CORRECTING AND DELETING INFORMATION ABOUT YOU
We want to communicate with you only if you want to hear from us. If you prefer not to receive information from any or all of Piedmont Craftsmen, please let us know by calling us at 1.336.725.1516 or by sending us an email to sales@piedmontcraftsmen.org.  Please be sure to include your email address, mailing address, full name, and specifically what information you do not want to receive. If you would like to update or correct your email address, mailing address or other personal information with us please contact us the same way.  Please note that any requests to remove or update your personal information may take up to ten days for your email request and 6-8 weeks to process your postal mail request.

 

PROTECTING CHILDREN
Piedmont Craftsmen takes special care to protect the safety and privacy of children. Our web site is a general audience site. We do not permit anyone under the age of 16 to register with us. We also do not send email correspondence to anyone who tells us that they are under the age of 16 without their parent’s consent.

Children under the age of 16 should always ask their parents or guardians for permission before providing any personal information to anyone online. We urge parents and guardians to participate in their children’s online activities and use parental control or other web filtering technology to supervise children’s access to the web.

 

COOKIES
Our web sites use “cookies.” A cookie is a small amount of data that is sent to your browser from a web server and stored on your computer’s hard drive during the online checkout process. You can generally set your browser to not accept cookies or to notify you when you are sent a cookie, giving you the chance to decide whether or not to accept it.

We store only your contact and order information. We do not share or sell this information, nor do we contract with third parties who may use cookies and collect information on our behalf.

 

SECURITY
We take precautions, including use of sophisticated encryption and authentication tools, to protect the security of your personal information that you share with us. Unfortunately, however, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee or warrant the security of any information you transmit to or from our web sites, and you do so at your own risk.  We also do not store credit card numbers on our server.  Once an order is received, the information is retrieved and erased.

 

LINKS TO THIRD PARTY SITES
Our web sites may contain links to web sites operated and maintained by third parties, over which we have no control. Privacy policies on such linked sites may be different from our privacy policy. You access such linked sites at your own risk. You should always read the privacy policy of a linked site before disclosing any personal information on such site.

 

POLICY CHANGES
If we decide to change our privacy policy in whole or in part, we will inform you by posting a notice on our web site. Those changes will go into effect on the date posted in the notice. The new policy will apply to all current and past users of our web site and will replace any prior policies that are inconsistent. This policy was posted in July 2008.
