I am drawn to the intricate patterns in everyday objects. I bring my passion for color, form, and texture into my designs.
I collect indigenous fabrics, which convey to me a deep sense of the handwork and history of the places from which they originate. Drawn to the craftsmanship, the artistry and rituals surrounding these representations, I incorporate this inspiration with a slant towards today’s sensibilities.
What started as a love of handmade craft and textiles evolved into a career as a designer of art knit sweaters for Timberland, Millma, The Peruvian Connection, and National Geographic Novica. The opportunity to work with luxurious fibers, an extensive palette of colors, and a myriad of handwork techniques enabled me to be a painter with yarn.
