Kimberley Adams is a glass bead maker and kiln-formed glass artist. She began her adventure in glass in 1991 with a bead making class at a friend’s studio. Learning to work with an intense torch flame to melt rods of glass to form beads was an immediate connection. Her glass beads and glass bead jewelry have been sold all over the US. In 2009, Kimberley began working with glass in a different way by using a kiln to melt sheets of glass together. Additional firings create depth with the use of molds. Powder printed images and painting with enamels are included in Kimberley’s work.
Kimberley has shown her work at craft fairs throughout the Southeast and East Coast. She is a member of the Southern Highland Craft Guild and most regularly shows at the organizations two craft fairs each year. She has been represented by the Guild’s galleries. She has also shown at Grovewood Gallery, River Gallery, and other galleries in the Southeast. She was most recently part of a two-woman show at NC Glass Center Gallery.
