On Thursday, December 10^th, from 5:30 to 7:00 PM, North Carolina author, Laura S. Wharton, will share her new book, In Julia’s Garden: A Lily McGuire Mystery and autograph copies.  Ms. Wharton will read a short passage from the book and answer questions about her inspiration.

In Julia’s Garden is her eighth book, but the first to use Winston-Salem as part of the story’s location.  Locations in the book include Piedmont Craftsmen’s Gallery, the Arts District and Sweet Potatoes.

Ms Wharton lives in Mount Airy, NC with her husband Bayley and their son, Will.  Her other books are sea adventure/ suspense/mystery novels for adults and mysteries for children.   Her love of the ocean, sailing, and history often collide in her tales of adventurous people who rise above challenges in stories that twist and turn along the way.
