Piedmont Craftsmen’s Exhibiting Membership includes artisans in all the major craft media, from established artists with national and international reputations to young talents who are just beginning to make a name for themselves. The primary criteria for membership are quality in design, technical skill, and originality. Piedmont Craftsmen Exhibiting Membership is open to crafts artists living in the United States, and comes with benefits (** see below ). The membership application process has two stages:the Image Jury and the Object Jury. Only Exhibiting Member and applicants in the second stage of the Jury process may take part in Piedmont Craftsmen’s Fair in November.
Piedmont Craftsmen uses an on-line digital image jury system hosted by ZAPP in partnership with Western States Arts Federation (WESTAF). Our application is online and active through early April. Visit ZAPP and set up your artist profile. The program is very user-friendly, and they have wonderful tech support.
If you are unable to get digital images made, contact us and we'll work with you to make sure you can participate in the image jury.
If approved at the image level, applicants will be invited take part in the object jury at Piedmont Craftsmen’s Fair in November. Once accepted, members retain their Exhibiting Membership for life by paying annual dues and may take part in all activities of the guild, including the Fair, showing in the Shop and Gallery, educational programs, and Board and committee service.
