Tension of Opposites
Hard and soft, rough and smooth, light and dark, large and small…When opposites like these are brought together the results can be amazing. The tension they cause together also can be powerful. This year’s summer theme show draws on this idea of, “The Tension of Opposites”. Considering the particular timing of this show we wanted to explore how different kinds of opposites in different forms of media come together, clash together and create something truly incredible.
This multimedia exhibit features works in clay, fiber, jewelry, wearable fiber, glass, wood and paper. All work done by 26 of our members. The show opened virtually on June 12th and on view now in the Gallery. Exhibit Catalog: Tension of Opposites.
