Dempsy R. Calhoun

For more than 40 years Dempsy Calhoun has worked as a lecturer, art instructor, visiting artist, sculptor and artist-in-residence, as well as a curator & exhibitions designer in many states. He holds both a Bachelors and a Master’s Degree in sculpture & Design from East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. He served as Program Director for the Piedmont Craftsmen Inc. in Winston Salem and has exhibited in more than 100 galleries over the United States. You may see some of his collections at the North Carolina Museum of Art, Raleigh; the Mint Museum of Art, Charlotte; the Fine Arts Academy, New Delhi, India; and the Thomas Graves Collection, Raleigh.
