I am continuously amazed by the versatility of glass as a medium for art. In some of my work with glass, I find directions away from the intrinsic prettiness of glass and move toward a thematic and compositional visual statement. While this is rewarding, it is not always an easy thing to accomplish. I enjoy the struggle. In my current work, the PostSeries, I have combined , glass cane, cast glass, blown glass, and found objects while allowing the transparent and refractive qualities of the glass to dominate the work. In my vessel series, Interiors, I am striving toward beauty in form and color. This too is a challenge.
