My jewelry employs a sculptural use of .960 fine silver (metal clay), 22k gold, and semi-precious stones. Many segments are textured, dried, kiln fired, then assembled with lavender oil silver paste, then kiln fired again, for 2 hours for maximum strength, Some stones are fired in place, some haveĀ soldered, bezel wire settings. Chemical oxidation is then applied, and hand removed, to bring up the details. Some pieces are hand carved in the leather hard state, to add design details. All this work in made in my home studio by my own hands. I am utilizing Precious Metal Clay in a way that is a bit unconventional, to create pieces that are lightweight, yet sturdy, sculptural depictions of mountainscapes and moonlit skies.
