Nell Chandler
Hillsborough, NC | Exhibiting Since 1996
Nell Chandler’s work is primarily made of sterling silver. It is then embellished with an etched brass picture and inlayed with resin. Stones or freshwater pearls or beads are sometimes added. She also uses a material called polyshrink in her work. It starts out as a sheet of plastic that the artist draws on and colors, then puts in an oven to fix and shrink the image. Her work is often narrative, exploring relationships, spirituality and life.
