By combining simple forms, a carved surface, unique colors and gravity I have developed an individual look that is easily recognizable. My collectors comment that my pottery looks “quietly beautiful”. I could not wish for a better compliment. For the past forty five plus years, clay has been and always will be my passion.

The vessels I make are influenced from Mycenaean, Greek, Egyptian pottery; as well as modern American Indian pottery. I take a purist approach, mixing all my clay and glazes from formulas I have developed. I designed and built the kiln I fire my pieces in. I like glazes to move and run on the surface of the forms in a controlled way. I have fine-tuned the firing of the kiln to insured my wide variety of colors, especially difficult reds and purples.
