Ira DeKoven

For over thirty years, Ira DeKoven has designed and executed architectural and in-home work, both functional and purely decorative. His work is in the collection of the Asheville Art Museum and in many private and public installations. Although he works primarily in forged steel, non-ferrous metals like copper, brass, bronze and aluminum are also used. DeKoven studied at Antioch College and at Turley School of Blacksmithing in Santa-Fe. He currently lives near Winston-Salem, NC.

Ira became an Exhibiting Member in 1981.
