I make playful, color-drenched jewelry from hand-painted enamel, sculpted glass beads, and traditional metalwork. My interest in botanical illustration and print-making was pivotal in the development of my enameling style. For my imagery, I make silkscreens from my drawings to create the outlines of the design and then hand paint the details using water color enamels and vintage china paints. Each little painting requires 4 to 8 kiln firings.
